Contrary to Swiss International Air Line’s
Carry-on baggage policy, the directive of the Indian Bureau of Civil Aviation Security restricts all passengers traveling from an Indian airport irrespective of their class of travel to:

Additional baggage – if any – must be screened prior to check-in and transported as registered baggage.
In order to avoid any inconvenience at the airport, we request your cooperation and understanding in adhering to this «one piece policy» from India.
Are you entering Switzerland?
Passengers from India and other non-EU countries are not allowed to bring into Switzerland any product of animal origin, such as:
- Meat
- Eggs
- Milk
- Honey
