Nang Gin Kui - Bangkok Private Dining

Asian, Thai, Fusion
  • Even with a last minute request for a list (which by the way was a long and exhaustive list) of food to abstain from because of gout, Florian kindly adhered to with exacting standards for our dinner. It was a breath taking night time aerial view of Chao Phraya River as we enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks. This weekend was our third month wedding anniversary and there was a dreamy but yet romantic touch of flower petals being generously scattered around the room. Replicating the concept of the third home is not new but this is taking it to a whole new level. Being quite familiar with Thai food we were definitely not expecting the delicious infusion of full Thai flavours bursting in our mouths. My favourite dish was the grilled fresh king prawns with fruit salad and seasoned rice. We were so stuffed but one bite of this impressively plated dish and I cleaned up the plate within minutes. Food aside we can't speak enough of our exquisite host Florian who made us feel so comfortable and entertained with his stories. This was such a personal and unique experience that could only be possible with the 'Florian touch'. We are eagerly waiting for the release of his culinary and guide book! Overall, we can say guests do not want to just pay for a dinner but an experience and for us that was a absolutely delightful and romantic experience.

  • This is such a novel idea that Florian and Goy have. We met Florian in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel, then he walked us down a few blocks to the restaurant (which happens to be his apartment). We were celebrating a birthday, so it was a pleasant surprise to see HB and her name spelled out in rose petals on the table. Out of the 4 of us, 3 were vegan/ gluten free. Goy was amazing and adapted all the courses to accommodate all 4 of us. Dinner started with a glass of sparkling wine with a hot pepper floating in it. Each course was a bite and beautifully prepared. We actually couldn't finish all the food! There was plenty of wine and good conversation. The night we went, we were the only guests, but I think the idea of getting total strangers together for a dinner party is such a novel idea. I guess we will just have to come back to experience that as well! Thank you so much Florian and Goy for the truly unique experience we had in Bangkok!
