All SWISS customers who have the Apple operating system from iOS 6 on their iPhone can save their SWISS boarding pass in Passbook. Passbook is a standard app from iOS 6, and is installed automatically.

Anyone who chooses our mobile boarding pass can use Passbook.

The following symbol is displayed when the email is selected on the iPhone:

Click on the symbol to display the Passbook boarding pass. Now click on “Add” to save the boarding pass in Passbook, and it will be available offline.

 

After opening the boarding pass in the app as usual (menu item “My Flights”, then “Boarding passes” and “Active boarding passes”), the following button will appear at the top:

As it is important to us that correct and useful information is displayed, we are working on activating this Apple feature. The plan is for the boarding pass either to be displayed on the lock screen as you approach the airport when embarking on your journey, or else a few hours before your planned departure time.

We are currently working on various solutions for this. In the meantime, we offer all passengers whose mobile phone number is saved in the reservation or their swiss.com profile the usual SMS or email service in the event of a delay or other flight irregularity.

It is possible to use it on a smartphone with a different operating system if the appropriate app is installed on the system (e.g. PassWallet on Android or Windows). In this case, the boarding pass needs to be requested by email, and can then be imported as a file attachment (.pkpass). SWISS will support you with any problems on an iPhone, but not with other operating systems.
