SWISS aircraft leaves taxiway after landing in Nuremberg

18 July 2005

A SWISS aircraft with flight designator LX1190 en route from Zurich to Nuremberg skidded off the taxiway on to the grass after landing in poor weather conditions at 18:15 local time today. No one was injured and there was no visible damage to the Embraer 145 aircraft. All 16 passengers and three crew members were able to leave the aircraft normally via the stairs. After the aircraft was towed back on to the runway the crew was able to manoeuvre it to its designated parking position. Following a review of the incident by German civil aviation authorities all passengers have now left the airport.
