SWISS to make modest fare adjustments

25 May 2010

Swiss International Air Lines will be slightly increasing its fares for travel from Switzerland from 28 May onwards. With demand now recovering, SWISS is making these modest increases to fares which were substantially reduced during last year’s financial crisis. In doing so, SWISS is seeking to ensure that it can continue to offer a wide range of air travel products and services on a sound business foundation.

Systemwide, the increases will range between CHF 6 and CHF 30 for a round-trip Economy Class ticket. Business Class fares will remain unchanged within Europe, and will be increased by between CHF 100 and CHF 200 for a round-trip intercontinental flight.

The increases will not apply to the lowest fare categories.

The increases apply to tickets for travel originating in Switzerland that are issued on or after 28 May 2010. All tickets issued before this date will be subject to the currently-applicable fares.
