Personnel changes in the SWISS management corps

SWISS has announced changes to key personnel within its Commercial division headed by Chief Commercial Officer Holger Hätty. Arved von zur Mühlen has been named Head of Sales & Marketing Intercontinental.He succeeds Marcel Biedermann, who will retire at the end of November.In a further development, current Head of Product Markus Binkert and Head of Marketing Frank Maier are to exchange functions under a job rotation.

Arved von zur Mühlen (41) will assume his new duties as Head of Sales & Marketing Intercontinental on 1 December. A graduate in business administration and a proven airline specialist, von zur Mühlen comes to SWISS from Lufthansa, where he has most recently been serving as Managing Director Greater China, with responsibility for Lufthansa Passenger Airlines’ sales, service and marketing activities in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Von zur Mühlen succeeds Marcel Biedermann (62), who will retire at the end of November after almost 40 years of service with SWISS and its predecessor Swissair. SWISS offers Marcel Biedermann its warmest thanks for all his many years of work, service and dedication and his numerous achievements on his company’s behalf.

As part of SWISS’s long-term management development activities, current Head of Marketing Frank Maier (46) and Head of Product Markus Binkert (38) will exchange functions effective 1 December. The job rotation will help both long-serving executives to expand their management experience and expertise and thereby promote the further development of the SWISS organisation.
