Swiss International Air Lines is now offering a new app for iPhone and iPod touch which is available on the App Store. The app gives customers access to a wide range of useful services connected to their SWISS.COM profile or Miles & More frequent flyer account, itinerary and travel plans.
The SWISS app permits users to compare fares and flight availability, book flights and call up the latest arrival and departure information. In addition, the app allows users to check in and select their seat from 23 hours before departure from the convenience of their iPhone. Passengers' mobile boarding passes will then be sent to them through the app once the passenger is registered. The boarding pass, once delivered, can then be called up by simply shaking the phone.
Finally, the SWISS app provides users with access to other useful information, including baggage allowances, in-flight services, and locations for and details about SWISS lounges, as well as access to Twitter feed for the latest flight, airline and weather updates and alerts (webview).
