Flying SWISS from Zurich? Then why not have your bags conveniently collected for you from your home or your hotel? SWISS has teamed up with Swissport to offer this new service – which is available immediately – to its customers in Switzerland. Just hand over your bags at your home or hotel and collect them again at your final air destination!  

How it works

The new baggage pick-up service will be offered as an option in the confirmation you receive whenever you book a flight on swiss.com. You can also order our baggage pick-up service at any time thereafter by using the following link: 

Baggage pick-up service

Your baggage will be collected from your home or hotel by a transport company on our behalf.

• Our baggage pick-up service is only available to customers travelling on a SWISS flight from Zurich which is operated by SWISS (i.e. it is not available for codeshare flights operated by the partner airline).
• The service must be booked at least 48 hours before departure.
• You do not have to be personally present when your baggage is collected. But the relevant travel documents (including passport or identification card) will need to be shown to the person(s) doing so.
• The rates specified below are for up to two pieces of baggage. Each additional piece will be subject to a CHF 15 surcharge.
• Payment can be made by credit card (VISA or Mastercard).
• The usual provisions regarding free baggage allowance and excess baggage apply.
• Baggage will be weighed at the airport. If applicable, any excess baggage fees must be paid at the regular excess baggage counter. Passengers will be informed by text message or contacted by telephone regarding any payment required on their arrival at airport.
• Individual bags weighing more than 32 kilos cannot be accepted.
• For departures between 06:00 and 16:00, the baggage will be collected between 09:00 and 21:00 the previous day.
• For departures between 16:00 and 23:00, the baggage will be collected between 07:00 and 18:00 on the day of departure.

Rates

The rate applicable will be based on the distance between your home/hotel and Zurich Airport.
