Zürich  Experience and enjoy the city

Picasso
From October 15, 2010 to January 30, 2011, Zürich is hosting one of the highlights of the European art world. The Kunsthaus, Zürich’s Museum of Fine Arts, is displaying Pablo Picasso’s very first museum exhibition. Picasso personally curated the exhibition in 1932 at the Kunsthaus Zürich and selected all of the works for it himself. The exhibition is extremely well endowed with 60 originals from the most famous international collections, including works from his pink and blue period, cubist and neoclassical phases, and his surrealist period. Zürich Tourism is the official advance booking office and is offering an attractive package deal. With the ZürichPICASSO package, art lovers can book Picasso tickets and a hotel room at the same time:

Zürich Christmas
Magic with new illuminations This year, Zürich will feature new Christmas lights: ‘Lucy’ will illuminate the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse in grand style as part of a special lighting concept during the Christmas Season. Thousands of LEDs can be controlled individually, with moving lights giving the effect of clouds and gentle showers of rain. When ‘Lucy’ is switched on at 6 pm on 25 November, a late night shopping event will take place. More than 150 shops in the inner city will stay open until 10 pm to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas Season and get visitors in the mood for the run up to Christmas. The event will feature a whole range of offers, special indoor activities, as well as culinary delights served from the stalls – Zürich Christmas magic at its best. There is so much to discover, including both the traditional Christmas market in Zürich’s picturesque Old Town and Europe’s largest covered Christmas market in Zürich Main Station.
