New: London City to Basel 
SWISS is pleased to announce the launch of a new twice daily non-stop service from london City to Basel starting 21st may 2012. The new route focuses on the right schedule to give both business and leisure travellers a convenient  way to travel between the hus of London and Basel.

SWISS Traditions
SWISS will be introducing “SWISS Traditions”, a new culinary concept for our Business Class passengers on European services. Our guests in Business Class will be offered classic and popular Swiss dishes, prepared from original recipes using quality regional ingredients, supplemented by further delights associated with particular Swiss traditions and cultural events.

We will celebrate a traditional Swiss event with a special meal six times each year. You will enjoy specialties associated with the current event. The cycle will begin with February’s focus on Basel’s loud and colourful “Fasnacht” carnival, for which inflight guests will be offered such local specialities as Basler Mehlsuppe (flour soup), Käsekuchen (cheese tart) and Basler Läckerli mousse.

SWISS opens new lounge at Zurich airport
SWISS is celebrating the opening of the newly opened Dock B at Zurich airport. The refurbished dock offers our passengers an improved airport infrastructure and innovations: more efficient security checks, quicker transfer times and a new advanced Business Class lounge for our customers using the new dock’s non-Schengen zone.  For all inbound Business Class customers whose flights are not assigned a dock stand, SWISS is introducing a new and exclusive bus service from the aircraft.

More flights from London City to Geneva as from 30 October 2011
SWISS will increase its frequency from 4 to 5 daily round-trips during winter season, starting 30 October 2011.

Extra flight from Heathrow to Zurich
SWISS will introduce a 7th daily Heathrow - Zurich frequency effective 30 October 2011. For Winter 2011/12 this additional frequency will be operated by AR1.

Improved flight times Basel - Heathrow
With the start from the winter timetable, from 30 October 2011 until 24 March 2012, there will be some changes to the flight times:
- The weekyday evening flight from Basel to Heathrow, LX4428, will depart Basel at 19:35 local time and arrive at Heathrow at 20:10 (current departure/arrival time is 20:25/21:00).
- The Saturday evening flight from Basel to Heathrow, LX4428, will be replaced with an afternoon flight, LX4426, departing Basel at 13:30 local time and arriving at Heathrow at 14:00 local time.

SWISS Taste of Switzerland
During the summer months until the end of August 2011, our culinary concept “SWISS Taste of Switzerland” takes guests in SWISS First and SWISS Business to the canton of Fribourg. Enjoy some highlights from culinary director Franz W. Faeh who creates refined and eclectic delicacies at the Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten-Meyriez. The Restaurant Juma, with 14 GaultMillau points to its name, offers a sense of space and grandeur, light and magnificence. Guests savour exquisite contemporary gourmet creations with an Asian touch.
