Subway No. 7, or the «International Express» as it's also widely known, runs through many neighbourhoods inhabited by immigrants. Depending on where they come from, the immigrants have their own community that is also reflected in the urban life and cityscape. The longest stretch of the journey is on a raised track that gives you a somewhat different view of New York (graffiti, factories, red prefabricated buildings, Manhattan from a distance, the Mets baseball stadium and the Flushing Meadow tennis centre where the U.S. Open is held). If you alight at the terminus in Queens, you will find yourself in New York's largest Chinese community. Definitely worth a visit and a bubble tea. Because contrary to popular belief, Chinatown isn't the largest.
