  1. How does the “Hold the booking” option work?

    The “Hold the booking” option enables you to make or cancel a booking within a specific period of time (consideration period). At the end of the consideration period, your booking will automatically be confirmed.

  2. What happens at the end of the consideration period?

    At the end of the consideration period, the tickets will automatically be issued and the total amount debited to your selected payment method.

  3. Will the fee be reimbursed after the consideration period?

    No; the fee for the “Hold the booking” service will not be reimbursed.

  4. Will the “Hold the booking” fee be added to the price of the tickets?

    No; the fee for the “Hold the booking” service will not be added to the ticket price.

  5. I have decided to choose a different flight offer. How can I cancel the current reservation?

    Log in to SWISS.com using your first and last names and the booking reference, and then use “Cancel” to cancel your reservation.

  6. The consideration period is not yet over, but I have already decided to book the tickets. How can I have the tickets issued before the end of the consideration period?

    Log in to SWISS.com using your first and last names and the booking reference and then use “Confirm” to confirm your reservation before expiry of the consideration period.

  7. What time zone is the “Hold the booking” consideration period based on?

    The consideration period is always based on local time at the departure airport.

  8. When will my debit/credit card be charged?

    Your debit/credit card will be charged at the time of automatic or manual confirmation.

  9. What payment methods can I use to pay the “Hold the booking” fee?

    The fee for the Hold the booking can be paid by credit or debit card.

  10. Can I change my flight during the consideration period?

    No; you do not have this option during the consideration period.

  11. On which flight is the “Hold the booking” service offered?

    The service is offered on most flights with a SWISS (LX) flight number.

    Yes; you will receive miles for a “Hold the booking” booking. However, you will only be credited the miles when you confirm the booking and have completed the flight.

    No; gift vouchers cannot be used to pay for the “Hold the booking” fee.
