How it works
Check in quickly and without having to queue. Online check-in will take you to your boarding pass in just a few steps.

Log in to swiss.com with your name and booking reference or the number of your e-ticket. Then select web check-in under the booking details

Check in up to 8 other people

Choose your seat

Enter additional passport information, depending on your destination

Have your boarding pass sent to a smartphone as a mobile boarding pass or print it out

Take your baggage to a separate counter before your departure
Note partner airlines
For SWISS flights with the following partner airlines, you will be passed on to the check-in application for the particular airline:
- Lufthansa: Flights between Switzerland and Germany
- Austrian Airlines: Flights between Switzerland and Austria
- Germanwings: Flights between Switzerland and Germany
- Scandinavian Airlines: Flights from Sweden/Denmark to Switzerland
- Air Canada: Flights between Switzerland and Canada
If your SWISS flight lists a different partner airline, please go to that particular airline to check in.
Mobile boarding pass on a smartphone
The mobile boarding pass on your smartphone replaces the paper one. It is valid at baggage drop locations, document checkpoints, duty free shops and at the gate when boarding. You decide whether you want to receive your mobile boarding pass as an SMS or email link and also in the SWISS app.
You will need an Internet-enabled mobile phone for the mobile boarding pass, and the airport from which you are departing must support this form of check-in.
How it works
Your web check-in opens 23 hours before departure. Log on to swiss.com or open the SWISS app on your smartphone. Log on with your name and booking reference. Choose your seat. We will send you an SMS or an email with a link the mobile boarding pass. The mobile boarding pass can also be saved in the SWISS app or the Passbook (from Apple iOS 6). You do not have to print it out.

Open the link in the SMS, and you have your boarding pass. You need Internet access to be able to open the mobile boarding pass at any time.
In order to receive the mobile boarding pass in the SWISS app, you need to enter your mobile phone number in the app before using web check-in.
In order to add the mobile boarding pass to your Passbook on a smartphone, click on "Add to Passbook" at the bottom of the open boarding pass.
- By e-mail:
Open the mail with the boarding pass on your smartphone. Once you have downloaded your mobile boarding pass, you can retrieve it at any time after that without Internet access. This boarding pass is only intended for use on your smartphone.
In order to receive the mobile boarding pass in the SWISS app, you need to enter your email address in the app before using web check-in.
In order to add the mobile boarding pass to your Passbook, click on the boarding pass symbol (SWISS boarding pass) at the bottom of the open email. Click on the symbol to display the Passbook boarding pass. Now click on “Add” to save the boarding pass in Passbook, and it will be available offline.
