SWISS serves medium and long haul destinations with 11 aircraft of this type. In the three-class configuration, the Airbus A330-223 has 196 seats. With an average age of approx. 7 years, the A330 is among the youngest aircraft in the entire fleet.
The A330 is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW4168A jet engines and state-of-the-art technology. Compared with its predecessor, the Airbus A310, the A330 consumes one-third less kerosene. Despite its higher weight, the A330 is much more quiet than the A310, both inside the cabin and in terms of external noise.
