The name of Brussels is never far from the news, whenever the latest resolutions of the EU are soberly announced. But the bureaucratic world is only one side of Europe’s capital: the city also offers a high quality of life, and is truly well worth a visit.
Chaotic, surreal, cosmopolitan and a mass of contradictions, Brussels can initially seem harsh and confusing until its liveliness, its dynamism, its flourishing arts scene and its untameable avant-garde spirit begin to emerge.
