Hamburg’s contrasts help to make the city such an attractive destination. The refined Elbchaussee is only a short distance from St. Pauli and the bustling harbour district and the hip Schanze quarter. Hamburg is a place where apparently opposite worlds treat each other with respect.
In winter this multifaceted boomtown transforms itself again, into a centre for musicals, a forum for art and culture and shopping paradise with its historic arcades. Hamburg is hip yet conservative, cosmopolitan and laid-back. In short, it’s excitingly relaxed.
