The following list features all objects which may be carried on SWISS flights but which are subject to specific restrictions in terms of amounts or bulk:
- Medical thermometer, max. 1 per passenger
- Medical items or toiletries including spray cans
- Lighters, max. 1 per passenger, which must be carried by the individual in question
- Blue flame lighters or cigar lighters
- Consumer electronics devices containing lithium ion cells or batteries with a maximum of 2 spare batteries
- Dry ice, max. 2.5 kg per passenger
- Medical oxygen bottles may only be carried in checked baggage, and cylinders weighing a maximum of 5 kg must be registered with SWISS in advance
- Battery-powered wheelchairs / mobility aids with non-spillable, spillable or lithium-ion batteries, portable oxygen concentrator and any other electronic medical device for usage on board, must be registered with SWISS in advance
- Heat-generating items such as battery-operated devices, e.g. underwater torches, diving lamps or soldering irons are only allowed in carry-on baggage and must be registered in advance
- Avalanche rescue backpack, max. 1 per passenger (not permitted to/from USA)
- Life vest with a max. of 2 gas cartridges, max. 1 per passenger
