SWISS recommends to check with your tour operator or the embassy or consulate of your destination for accepted identification documents and visa requirements. Please also check whether your visa is compliant with the intended duration of your stay and which import or customs rules may apply if you are bringing along
animals, vehicles, cultural objects etc. Please note in particular the regulations for children travelling on their own or with only one parent. Many countries require a special travel permit from the parents or the parent who is not coming along. Passengers without correct travel documents may not be permitted to enter or leave a country. This may result in a fine for SWISS. We reserve the right to seek compensation from passengers responsible for any such fine.
SWISS shall not be liable in any way with regard to the accuracy, completeness and legality of any content on external websites.
Airlines are legally obliged to pass on passport data in the case of passengers travelling to destinations in specific countries. For SWISS, this applies to destinations in Canada, China, India, Japan, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA and Ireland.
Since 8 March 2012, the Transport Safety Authority (TSA) has also required additional personal data for flights over US territory, for instance to and from Canada, Mexico, Cuba and other countries in Central America.
