The easy way to receive your boarding pass

Automated check-in  The easy way to receive your boarding pass 

Choose automated check-in while you are booking. Would you like to receive your boarding pass as a PDF file by e-mail, or would you prefer a mobile boarding pass for your Internet-enabled mobile phone? This service is available on most flights. Note that your booking is made through swiss.com, and must be made at least 3 days before departure.

Seat selection

You have the option to enter your preferred seat with the passenger details. Subject to availability, we will reserve an aisle or window seat for you. You can change your seat if you like. We will send you a link for this with your boarding pass.

Important notes

Additional passenger information (API)

Additional passenger information is required before you are able to enter certain countries. This information must be provided no later than 72 hours before departure for automated check-in to be possible. Enter the information at swiss.com/api.

Check-in alternative and boarding pass reception

You will receive an e-mail or SMS notification approx. 20 hours before departure if automated check-in is not possible for example because your API data are not completed. In this instance, use the check-in options at the airport.

If you neither receive your boarding pass nor a notification message approx. 20 hours before departure, use our web check-in or mobile check-in instead.
