At the airport, proceed directly to one of the Check-in machines. Check yourself and any other persons travelling with you in, select your seat(s) via the seat plan and obtain your boarding pass(es). After that, all you need to do is drop off any baggage you may have.
Airports with check-in machines: Switzerland, Germany as well as Vienna and London
Easy in 3 Steps
Step 1: Registering with the machine (identification)
To call up your flight data, you first have to identify yourself with the check-in machine. This can be done in various ways depending on your location:
- Ticket number or ticket barcode
- Miles & More card
- Credit card with which you paid for your booking
- Passport
Step 2: Your boarding pass
Follow the instructions on the display, select your seat via the seat plan and you are issued with your boarding pass. Depending on the check-in machine you are using and the regulations in force at the given location, you may also be issued with your baggage tags.
Step 3: Faster to the departure gate
Without any further waiting time, you then proceed with your boarding pass directly to the departure gate at the airport. If you are flying with baggage, drop it off in beforehand at one of the separate counters.
Tips and tricks
- You can check in up to 9 persons together.
- If an upgrade to a higher class is available, you will be given appropriate notification at the check-in machine.
- Any check-in data you may have entered previously (e.g. via Web Check-in) can be changed at any time. For instance, if you wish to add your Miles & More number or change your seat location. Simply print out a new boarding pass together with any baggage tags.
Local regulations
Via the check-in machine, you can print out up to 4 baggage tags for Zurich and Geneva, and max. 2 for Basel.
At German airports as well as in Vienna and London, the counter staff print out these tags for you.
