Canton Schwyz as culinary guest on board SWISS

Under the SWISS Taste of Switzerland concept, SWISS customers travelling in First or Business Class on intercontinental flights from Switzerland and on selected flights to Switzerland during the June-August summer period will be served delicious meals from Canton Schwyz created by top chef Daniel Jann. Reflecting the traditions of the canton’s Muotha Valley region, these dishes - created especially for SWISS passengers - will also be served in Business Class on longer flights within Europe.


The hallmarks of dishes created by Daniel Jann are cheese from the nearby Alps, locally grown vegetables, meat from cattle raised locally, and wild game from the forests of the Muotha Valley area.

Together with his wife Paula, Daniel Jann has been in charge of the well-known Adler countryside restaurant in Ried-Muotathal since 1995. One of the finest dining establishments in central Switzerland, the Adler has been awarded 16 GaultMillau points and the Michelin Guide’s “Bib Gourmand“, the seal of quality for an exemplary value-for-money ratio.
