In combination with online check-in, on a growing number of routes we now offer you the option to prepare the baggage label for your checked baggage from the comfort of your own home. You have the home printed baggage tag as well as the RIMOWA Electronic Tag available to you.
You can easily print the home printed baggage tag at home. All you have to do is choose this option during online check-in, and you will be able to save even more valuable time when checking your baggage1 at the airport.
If you travel with a suitcase fitted with a RIMOWA electronic tag, you can also use it from the majority of airports by checking in for your SWISS flight with the Lufthansa app and transmitting the electronic tag to your suitcase as usual.
How it works (Home printed baggage tag)
- Step 1
Check in online a maximum of 23 hours before your departure. Choose the option to print your baggage label
- Step 2
Print your baggage label, fold it as shown by the instructions, and attach it to your suitcase using the plastic holder provided.If you do not yet have one of these plastic holders, we will be pleased to provide you with one free of charge at the airport. Please reuse it.You will automatically receive a list of your labels.
- Step 3
Take your baggage to a bag drop counter at the airport or, if there is one, to the appropriate machine.
- Please note that the usual baggage rules and any restrictions in quantity (e.g. as with an Economy Light fare) are also applicable here.
