Wat Saket (Golden Mount)

Stairway to inspiration
Wat Saket is like a lighthouse: the temple - located on the Golden Mount in the heart of the old town – can already be seen from many blocks away. It looks particularly nice in the evening, when the whole complex is illuminated. But 318 Stairways have to be climbed until you reach the temple – the staircase winds around the mountain. The impressive building is crowned by a golden Chedi, which was name giver for the Temple Mount. It is open every day from 8 am to 5 pm – the entrance fee for the upper temple is 10 Baht.
