SWISS Upgrade Bargain allows SWISS customers (passengers booked on swiss.com or Miles and More passengers) to set their own price for an upgrade to SWISS Business by submitting an offer. SWISS recently introduced this feature and made it available through the manage my bookings path on swiss.com, so that any interested passenger may benefit from this product.
As of July 2016, passengers may not only place an offer for an upgrade from SWISS Economy to SWISS Business, but also from SWISS Business to SWISS First. This product extension will be available via the manage my bookings path on swiss.com.
Between 120 and 48 hours before departure, passengers will be informed whether their offer has been approved. Customers whose offers are approved will have the relevant amount charged to their credit card.
In order to qualify for an Upgrade Bargain offer, customers must hold a valid SWISS ticket for a scheduled flight operated by SWISS. The document issued must start with the numbers 724. For legal reasons, offers cannot be accepted for tickets sold in the following countries: India and Brazil. For flights from and to Japan an offer with a fixed amount will be available.
Bids may be submitted up to 132 hours before departure.
The following exceptions apply:
•Passengers travelling with children under 2 years of age
•Passengers booked as part of a group of more than 9 people
•Flight bookings which are not yet confirmed
