Jürg Christen named Head of Sales Switzerland

Jürg Christen will be the new appointed Head of Sales Switzerland of Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and Lufthansa Group. He has a vast experience within the airline sector and is currently the Regional Director for Greater China and Head of the Sales and Marketing Organization of the Lufthansa Group Airlines.

As of 1 July 2016, Jürg Christen (55) has been appointed Head of Sales Switzerland of SWISS, a newly-created function in which he will be responsible for all the premium group airline brands i. e. Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines in the Swiss market. In his new capacity Christen will be responsible for all sales, distribution management and distribution services in Switzerland for all Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines. He can draw on extensive experience within the airline sector.

Christen, who is a Swiss national, is currently serving as the Shanghai-based Regional Director for Greater China and Head of the Lufthansa Group Airlines and Head of Sales and Marketing Organization for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, a position in which he has acquired a thorough familiarity with the brands, products and organizations of all three Hub Airlines. Christen speaks German and is also fluent in French, having grown up near Biel.
