SWISS welcomes Lufthansa to Zurich’s Terminal 1

Swift transfers, more destinations and greater travel comfort: customers will benefit from them all when Lufthansa joins SWISS in Terminal 1 at Zurich Airport. Under the new arrangement, all SWISS and Lufthansa flights will be handled at the same check-in desks from October 30 onwards: not only in Zurich, but in Geneva and Basel, too. SWISS and Lufthansa customers will also enjoy enhanced lounge access privileges.

Lufthansa customers departing from Zurich, who were previously served at the airport’s Terminal 2, will be checking in at any of the 32 desks and twelve self-check-in machines in Terminal 1 from the start of the new winter schedules on Sunday, October 30. And passengers from anywhere in Germany who are connecting onto an onward SWISS flight at the Zurich Airport hub can now transfer in just 35 minutes for European destinations and 40 minutes for points farther afield. Lufthansa customers will also benefit from the wide range of SWISS services available from Zurich: over 150 flights a day to 69 destinations in 41 countries. Connections between Switzerland and Germany will also be better than ever, with no fewer than 83 joint SWISS/Lufthansa services: 54 to and from Zurich, 16 for Geneva, ten for Basel and three for Bern.
