Every one of our aircraft carries between one and three first-aid kits (depending on its size) and an emergency medical kit. While the first-aid kit can be used by the cabin crew, the emergency medical kit is intended for use by professionals. Its contents extend far beyond the minima required by law, and all kits are regularly checked to ensure that they are complete.
All SWISS aircraft are also equipped with AEDs (automated external defibrillator), which can be used in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Our cabin crews are instructed in their use as part of their annual training.
