Miku is a great Japanese restaurant right on Burrard Inlet. The view is incredibly lovely and the seafood and Japanese specialities are delicious. I could sit there for hours and watch the goings on on the water.

Mahony & Sons is a great public house with a Scottish aura. Here you’re treated to great food and good live music. The pub lies directly on the waterfront at Canada Place, which is also home to the Vancouver Convention Centre. Here you will also find the world’s first IMAX cinema or can watch seaplanes landing and taking off on the water. In nice weather, you can sit outside, enjoy the great view of the airport, and watch passersby.

The best breakfast is found at Café Zen. The pancakes are a definite must and the bennies (eggs Benedict) will blow you over. Order a fresh-squeezed orange juice and your fatigue is gone. Once you're belly is full, take a beautiful walk along nearby Kits Beach. There's no better way to start your day in this wonderful city.

The Vancouver Lookout tower presents you with a beautiful 360° view of this dream city. At night, this view of Vancouver transforms into a fascinating sea of lights. You can go up and down the whole day on the one ticket, as many times as you want. You should definitely visit the tower on the first day of your stay. Then you’ll be given a good overview of the city, and you can find your bearings a lot better.

Cardero’s is a restaurant on stilts in the yachting waters of Coal Harbour. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the main fare served here is fish – fried or as a burger. It lies close to Stanley Park, so it’s a good place to stop before or after a walk in the green open. You should reserve a table in the evening.
