Kazandžijsko sokatčeHistoric Handicrafts AlleyKazandžijsko sokatče means as much as "Tinkers Alley". It used to be a street lined with craft workshops. Today it’s a Bohemian district full of cozy restaurants and many kafanas (cafés serving more meat than coffee). A lot of the buildings in the neighborhood go back to the time of Ottoman rule. Right at the beginning of the alley you can pay a visit to the Serbian writer Stevan Sremac, who is immortalized there with a sculpture.
Niš FortressRelic of the OttomansThe fortress Niška tvrđava rises majestically on the bank of the river Nišava. Just behind the fortress wall there is a beautiful, extensive park.
