Nobody knows the SWISS destinations better than our staff. A restaurant that is not listed in every travel guide, an original bar, a charming café, or great tours with spectacular lookout points. Let our travel professionals inspire you with their tips.

This small café is located on a hill to the west of the city centre, well away from the commotion of the old town's narrow streets. Most visitors don't even appreciate Sarajevo's extraordinary location until they reach the vantage point 200 metres in front of the café. Surrounded by green hills, the city lies in a valley, through which the narrow Sava river flows. Visitors can enjoy a strong Turkish coffee at the Kamarija while taking in the impressive view.

Rural Bosnia begins right at the city limits. The hilly and densely wooded landscape is great for exploring in a hire car. Small local restaurants appear time and again at the side of the road, and around midday usually heavy smoke billows out of an annex next to the little inn: A lamb is turning slowly above the fire like a suckling pig. You really must try it!

Heading off to the Orient: The oriental flavour of the old city is just a few yards from the busy main traffic artery. Mosques and churches alternate, the choice of cosy cafés around the cobblestone Baščaršija Square invite you to linger a while, and I can thoroughly recommend a Bosnian coffee to wake you up on a Sunday morning.
