Nobody knows the SWISS destinations better than our staff. A restaurant that is not listed in every travel guide, an original bar, a charming café, or great tours with spectacular lookout points. Let our travel professionals inspire you with their tips.

On Saturday evenings a professional magician entertains guests with magic tricks at their table in the Kürbiskern. The menu features an extensive range of hearty dishes. Those who aren’t hungry can try the shishas with a range of different tobaccos in a separate, dedicated area.

At Ritter Sport in Berlin you can create your own bar of chocolate! If you don’t want to wait the thirty minutes in the queue, you can wander through the exhibition on the manufacture of chocolate or enjoy one of the creative chocolate drinks or a torte at the café. At the ChocoWorkshop, the kids too can design their own chocolate plus packaging.

This alternative bar has all the makings of an insider tip – off the beaten track, still relatively unknown and with a absolute wow-factor! Finding the bar, however, can be tricky. At the entrance to the library/post office in the Neukölln Arkaden, take the lift up to the 5th floor. Don't be misled by the fact that there's a car park in front of you – just carry on following the signs up to the bar. This roundabout way of getting there is well worth it, especially with a setting sun, a fabulous view across Berlin and easy-going house music.

In Prenzlauer Berg, I would start the evening at Rice Queen. This popular restaurant near the underground station Eberswalder Strasse leaves no wish unfulfilled for Asian delicacies. If you’re interested in culture or want to continue your way, I recommend the Kulturbrauerei, now a protected monument. This also houses cinemas, a theatre, discos, and various event rooms. In all cases, a visit is well worth your while! If, though, you want to end your evening in the typical Prenzelberg atmosphere, you should take a look in the nearby Krüger. Here, every Tom, Dick, and Harry can sit cosily together to relaxing music and enjoy their leisure time with tasty cocktails and wine.

There’s always plenty going on at the Neue Odessa Bar near the Rosenthaler Platz underground station. I love to enjoy a Moscow Mule in their laid back, casual atmosphere – they make the best in the city. You can’t beat the crowd; it's mostly regulars and locals hanging out, chatting and drinking at the cosy tables. The music is smooth, the lighting dim ... and you can smoke there.

Take it from a dyed in the wool Berliner, the Prenzlauer Berg scene is my ultimate insider tip. This locality is characterised by an imposing architecture that originated at the turn of the 20th century.

If you want to enjoy an unbeatable view in the centre of Berlin, there's no better place than the Monkey Bar in the 25hours hotel bikini near the Berlin Zoologischer Garten station. The name of the bar hasn't just come from nowhere, as visitors can enjoy a wonderful view from here over Berlin Zoo, right next door. Even the Bundestag can be spotted in the distance! This ultra-modern bar, with its hip and friendly waiting staff, comes with guaranteed wow factor.

Berlin is a paradise for museum lovers. Most of them can be found on Museum Island. If you want to immerse yourself in the history of this formerly divided city, you can stand in awe before the Asisi Panometer on Friedrichstrasse, something you must see! Just next door is the famous Mauer Museum at Checkpoint Charly.

As a Berlin native, I just love the Restaurant Butterhandlung. The mix of high-quality food, friendly and authentic, traditional Berlin service, and the lovely, warm interior make this Restaurant my new number one in Berlin! What makes it even more special is that you can go to the BoBu bar right next door and round off your evening with a nice drink and some soul, funk or jazz. If you’re lucky, you may even get to spot some of your waiters playing live music.
