    • Swissôtel Buyuk Efes

      Spa with an Alpine touch
Close to Izmir's most famous landmark, the Clock Tower, is a little bit of Switzerland. This 5-star hotel appeals for its beach location, and yet is at the heart of the city. It offers numerous activities, wellness and culinary delights. Greek and Aegean specialities are served in the "Aquarium Restaurant", where you can either make yourself at home in the pretty garden or watch the swimmers in the pool through the bull's eye windows.

    • Sheraton Cesme Hotel Resort & Spa

      Right on the beach
This 5-star complex stretches for 3 kilometres along the beach at Cesme Ilica. And when you've had enough sun, it's not far to the windsurfing centre in Alcati and the neighbouring island of Chios. Or you could just head back to the hotel and enjoy the delights of the large spa and pool area, have a game of tennis or perhaps a spot of bowling. Then perhaps some culinary pampering in one of the hotel's restaurants or on the beach before retiring to one of the bright, spacious rooms.

    • Güllü Residence

      Oasis in Şirince
If you love the country air and want to be where grapes and olives thrive, then come and stay in the village of Şirince. It lies some 80 kilometres away from the capital, close to the archaeological site of Ephesus. The hotel rooms are located in three small stone-built houses surrounded by countryside. The rooms are all decorated in different colours and furnished differently. Some also have traditional fireplaces. The local dishes are prepared with plenty of love.

      Look down from above
Guests of this establishment really need to have a head for heights. That's because its 219 rooms, two restaurants, three bars and the spa and gym rise up over 20 floors. And the higher up you go, the more fascinating are the views of the sea and mountains. It's a good idea to sit down in the "Lombozo Bar" in the hotel tower first, where there are fabulous views of the sea through the bull's eye windows. Plus the rooms all have large picture windows – so you won't miss a thing!

Its amenities are slightly hidden away behind the façade of an old bank building. However, it's worth finding it and choosing a room with views of the sea.
