    • At.mosphere

The excellent At.mosphere restaurant is on the 122nd floor of the famous Burj Khalifa tower. An elevator catapults guests up to the 123rd floor, from where a cantilevered staircase takes them down one floor to soak in the unforgettable views from a height of 422 metres. For those who can still think about food, the options include tuna ceviche, tartare of Wagyu beef or leg of lamb à l’arabe.

    • Al Mallah

      Popular Arabian snacks
Simple Arabian street-side snack bar that is very popular with locals and Dubai-based foreigners, who appreciate the uncomplicated ambience and the views of the lively shopping street. Another plus point is the authentic Lebanese cuisine: parsley salad, aubergine puree, flatbreads or lamb kebabs are fabulous, and accompanied by freshly squeezed fruit juices.

    • Zuma

Whether London, Hong Kong or Dubai, the Zuma restaurants are always grandiose and popular. Fabulous design, impressive in size and superb cuisine. Best to start with a Bellini at the bar and a spot of people-watching, then delight the palate with spicy tuna tataki, scallop salad or fried black cod.

    • Rivington Grill

      Fabulous ambience
The London Rivington Grill is totally ‘in’, and the offshoot in Dubai is no less cool. The fine international cuisine with distinctly British overtones – the menu includes fish and chips, puddings and pies – is popular, and the chic yet unpretentious interior is also a winner. An absolute highlight: you can see the Burj Khalifa and watch the fabulous water ballet as you dine.

    • Pierchic

      Fish restaurant
A wooden pier leads to this elegantly romantic fish restaurant that floats on the water like a boat. The cuisine is entirely in keeping with the setting: crab risotto, lightly sautéed scallops or grilled fish, accompanied by a bottle of fruity Lebanese white wine. We thoroughly recommend dining by candlelight on the terrace.

Khameer are Arabian flatbreads that are filled with cream cheese, coriander and roasted nuts or saffron or dates. Guests sit on chic chairs to enjoy the treats, which are served with spicy karak tea. • Café Bateel

      Lots with dates
Bateel is simply THE place for dates, so it’s no surprise that everything in the cafés revolves around them. They are everywhere: in the bread, in the vinegar, in the Sachertorte and in the cider. There is even a date tasting menu! It’s the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or an evening meal. There are seven other branches in Dubai.

    • The Lime Tree Café

      Villa, garden and terrace
This café could just as easily be in Los Angeles or Miami. Perhaps that is why it is such a popular meeting place for foreigners in Dubai. However, the main reasons are undoubtedly the villa with its garden and terrace, the fabulous cheesecake and the excellent selection of foreign newspapers. It’s the perfect spot to rest and relax.

    • Nasimi Beach

      Cool beach club
This is a fabulous place to chill and relax in pleasant company. Guests lie on white recliners on the beach and daybeds in the open lounge area, listening to the cool music with a chilled drink in hand. It also has a good restaurant, so many guests are tempted to while away the entire day outside the huge Hotel Atlantis on The Palm. Nasimi Beach is especially popular in the evenings, when DJs spin the discs and the barkeepers can hardly mix the drinks fast enough.

That’s the time to experience Dubai’s high society, which gathers here for cocktails, champagne or Tiger Beer. Tip: If you arrive before 8pm, be sure to be put on the platinum list.
