Max Herre, Stuttgart-born lead singer of the band «Freundeskreis», says Stuttgart is his «first love». Some people also affectionately call the city «Stuggi». And yet Stuttgart is much more than just a romantic idyll amongst vineyards, dreamy paths past castles and narrow alleys. Stuttgart rocks.

Culture lovers and the «in» crowd shake hands; shoppers never fail to find a new favourite in the popular boutiques or on the Königstrasse, and gourmets appreciate the fabulous combination of Swabian home cooking and modern cuisine as served, for instance, in the Fröhlich wine bar – to say nothing of the excellent wines.

And while one person might opt for the well-known Museum of Art in the city and be impressed by vast collection of works, the other will head for the Mercedes-Benz-Museum to learn all about the history of this marque, or for the Porsche-Museum to sample the excellent food as well as the luxury cars.

Sit in one of the city’s many green areas in the so-called «Swabian Paradise» with a refreshing drink and experience something of its paradisiacal charm.
