Boston is not your typical American city. The metropolis on the Charles River is actually known as the secret capital of New England, and it’s evident everywhere.
Beautiful buildings, historic suburbs, and everywhere a European flair. Strolling through areas like Beacon Hill, you’ll be amazed by the fabulous, picturesque buildings. The city represents history, politics, culture and education. The Boston Tea Party took place here in 1773, an act of resistance against British colonial policy. A piece of American history was written in the Old South Meeting House, which is open to visitors today. Harvard University in Cambridge near Boston is America’s oldest university. And finally, many banks and insurance companies are based here.
The metropolis is one of the oldest and wealthiest cities in the USA. People travel to Boston to experience history and visit museums such as the John F. Kennedy Museum & Library. And not be able to get enough of its architectural beauties. Something else that is not typically American: the city can be explored on foot. And finally, it has fabulous shopping, for instance at Faneuil Hall, and wonderful seafood.

The city was made famous by the Boston Tea Party on 16 December, 1773. The Boston Tea Party was the climax of a long-lasting dispute between the 13 Colonies, British Colonies on the Atlantic Coast of North America, and Great Britain, the mother country.
