Lau Pa Sat is an enormous food court in a charming, historical building in the heart of the Business District of Singapur. They really have nearly everything the heart, or rather palate, could wish for: from Indonesian noodle dishes to Indian food, from Japanese gyozas (dumplings) to the typical Singaporean Thunder Tea Rice. Practically every cuisine is represented. And if you aren't in the mood for something exotic, you can get a Western sandwich, too. Lau Pa Sat may be listed in every travel guide, but it's definitely not a tourist trap; it's a favourite place to eat in the Business District among locals and expats alike. Simple, inexpensive and, most importantly, tasty!
