Tel Aviv is about living in the present. The city overlooking the turquoise sea has a brief history, Israel as a country has a complex past.
But that is of little interest to many young people now living in Tel Aviv or to visitors to the exciting city with the famous sandy beach. All they want to do is simply live, and celebrate the joy of being alive. Which they do, with great enthusiasm and plenty of charm. Everyone is welcome in Tel Aviv.
The Big Orange, as the city is affectionately known for the oranges that come from neighbouring Jaffa, instantly lets visitors know that they can relax and make themselves comfortable here. Interesting museums, galleries full of exciting contemporary art, the world’s biggest Bauhaus open-air museum, seemingly endless sandy beaches with non-stop action every night, beach restaurants such as La La Land and the ancient port of Jaffa next door, the city of 400,000 has so much to offer. Not to mention the many nightclubs that seem to pop up all over the city! According to the popular saying, «Haifa works, Jerusalem prays and Tel Aviv parties.» And how! Tel Aviv is definitely a hot spot on the Mediterranean.
Second largest city in Israel. Port on the Mediterranean coast.
