Graz is a veritable travel gem, whether as a cool city for a weekend trip or a relaxing holiday. Not for nothing is the picturesque town on the banks of the Mur considered one of the loveliest destinations in Austria.

If you need a rest, settle down in one of the lovely green parks, or choose one of the numerous cafés in the picturesque Old Town lanes to enjoy a "Café Mélange" in peace and quiet. It's just as pleasant in other parts of the city, as you will find if you embark on a gastronomic tour of the town, which is also known as the "Pleasure Capital": it has everything your heart could possibly desire.

The young and young-at-heart also appreciate the former Cultural Capital of Europe with its landmark of the futuristic Kunsthaus as a Styrian design city. The "City of Design" is known for its easy interaction with art and urban culture.

Whether the Austrian Sculpture Park, a little way outside the city, with around 60 contemporary works of art or the somewhat futuristic Murinsel ("Island in the Mur") in the middle of the city, the jewel that is Graz is just waiting to be explored. And for those who still have the energy to party afterwards, there are numerous bars and clubs in the lively university quarter that are open until the early hours.
