Nobody knows the SWISS destinations better than our staff. A restaurant that is not listed in every travel guide, an original bar, a charming café, or great tours with spectacular lookout points. Let our travel professionals inspire you with their tips.

The Martinucci is my tip for all ice cream lovers and cake fans. Martinucci is a business with a long tradition and is a very well-known maker of all types of cakes and ice cream. The company's history dates back to 1950 in my home town of Specchia in Lecce province. Since then Martinucci has gone from strength to strength and a few years ago it opened its Bari branch. Along with all the different varieties of ice cream, my personal favourites are the «Pasticciotto Leccese», a tasty little cake with a sweet cream filling, and the «Profitteroles Montagna», a mountain of cream puffs covered in fine chocolate sauce. These are also available individually.

When you're in Bari, it is well worth heading out to the Parco Nazionale del Gargano (Gargano National Park). It's a wonderful park with old pine forests, home to the Foresta Umbra nature reserve. From here, the fantastic fishing village of Peschici is also well worth a visit.

The Molo San Nicola is the perfect place from which to photograph the city. From the pier, you can also see the local fishermen at work, preparing their boats for the next day.

The Parco dei Principi near the airport is the ideal place for those who place great value on having a clean, modern hotel room. A good restaurant serving typical Bari dishes. Free car parking is another reason to choose this 4-star hotel over a stay in the city centre. After all, that's just a few minutes’ ride away by train.
