Nobody knows the SWISS destinations better than our staff. A restaurant that is not listed in every travel guide, an original bar, a charming café, or great tours with spectacular lookout points. Let our travel professionals inspire you with their tips.

Those looking for a culinary experience in a fantastic setting will not be disappointed on the Wilhelmsplatz in Offenbach on Tuesdays, Fridays and (particularly) Saturday mornings. Just a few minutes away from the Frankfurt inner city tramway (station: Offenbach Marktplatz), the Offenbach market provides everything your heart desires – including antipasti, bread straight from a wood-fired oven, and fresh pike-perch. The numerous cafés around the market get the weekend off to a good start with a delicious breakfast. The Offenbach market has even become a must for the locals, not least because of the unique, multicultural ambiance and the reasonably priced, high quality products.

I recommend the lounge in the Main Tower for a drink. You can enjoy the unique views of the cityscape from a height of 187 metres. And in good views, the best views of the sunset.

Tapas Locas serves excellent tapas at fair prices. There’s a tremendous selection, and the Spanish delicacies cost between €2 and €8. And to go with them, candlelight and Spanish music. Truly an excellent tip!

The international charm of this city on the Main river is expressed in the sheer diversity of its culinary scene. You should definitely sample the Frankfurter «Grie Soss» (green sauce with boiled potatoes), Kochkäs (a type of melted cheese) and, of course, Äbbelwoi (apple wine). I highly recommended a trip to the Taunus – to Kronberg or Königsstein, for example. You can enjoy a fabulous view from here, overlooking the Main valley and the skyline of Frankfurt.
