Red Square in Moscow is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will find the Basilica of St. Basilica with its colourful onion domes, but also the beautiful little Kazan Cathedral - the first church rebuilt in post-communist Moscow. The square is dominated by the impressive Kremlin fortress. Lenin's mausoleum is located on the massive walls.
In the Kremlin there are 3 spectacular cathedrals and 3 palaces. The Terem Palace was the residence of the tsars of the 17th century, and the lavishly gilded interiors reflect this history. There are also green areas, including the so-called Secret Gardens, as well as buildings for the Parliament and the President.
