Málaga is located on Spain’s Costa del Sol. It has 14km of beautiful and varied beaches. Those within the city, like La Malagueta, Pedregalejo and San Andrés, tend to have a lively atmosphere with plenty of cafés and bars. If you leave the city, you will find charming, secluded little bays like Baños del Carmen or Peñón del Cuervo.
Also in Málaga there is a lot of culture to discover. The Museo Picasso Málaga has more than 200 works donated by the great artist’s family. On a hot day, the cool spaces of the 17th-century cathedral provide a pleasant change from the beach. Also of interest are the Moorish fortifications above the city.
