Menorca: Discover this enchanting Balearic Island

“Menorca” is Catalan for “the smaller island”. But the northernmost of the Balearic Islands won’t be overshadowed (figuratively and literally) by “the bigger island” (Mallorca). Fly from Zurich to Menorca and discover unspoilt bays and romantic old towns – far removed from the droves of tourists.

Menorca is only a few hours’ flight away from Zurich, but you might think that you landed on a Caribbean island. The crystal-clear sea and the white sandy beaches are a delight for bathers and divers. Almost half of the island is under landscape and nature protection, allowing the beaches and landscapes to hold onto their original character. The island hasn’t been changed to accommodate tourism, making it perfect for nature lovers who are sure to appreciate it in its natural state. The island’s small fishing villages make for a special holiday atmosphere. A visit to the island capital, Mahón, and the municipality of Ciutadella should not be missed, either.

Discover one of the most beautiful Balearic Islands and book your flight from Zurich (ZRH) to Menorca (MAH) on swiss.com. Start your holiday completely relaxed. Zurich airport is about 13 kilometres outside the city centre and can be reached easily by car or public transport.
