Experience SWISS Business long-haul: new lounges and a broader culinary range

New lounges will be opened for Senator-status travellers and SWISS Business customers at Zurich Airport’s Dock E in the fourth quarter of this year. The spacious new lounges will extend over some 2,000 square metres, and will feature a terrace with views of the airport and its runways and the Alps beyond. Both lounges will offer a range of freshly-prepared meals, and the Senator Lounge will also boast a staffed bar. The Senator Lounge will accommodate up to 175 travellers and the Business Class Lounge up to 200. Both lounges will be located conveniently close to the departure gates for SWISS’s long-haul flights

Enhanced inflight product and services on Business intercontinental

On board, SWISS is expanding the range of its culinary offering, providing a wider selection of starters and adding a separate cheese course. The full meal service is also accompanied by a “quick meal” option, which enables you to decide for yourself whether to enjoyyour meal to the full or use the time to rest – an option that is particularly welcome on night flights.

World Travel Awards 2014: SWISS repeats as winner of "Europe’s Leading Airline Business Class“

The quality of our product and services is deeply appreciated around the world, particularly by Business Class customers. SWISS has won the award as "Europe's Leading Airline Business Class" at this year's World Travel Awards for the fourth consecutive time and has claimed the top spot in this category six times since 2005. The Voting involves travel and tourism industry experts from all over the globe. According to Markus Binkert, Chief Commercial Officer SWISS “This award motivates us to keep progressing and to continue investing in the improvement of our products and services."

Therefore, Swiss International Air Lines has steadily broadened its product offer and portfolio of customer services in Business Class. This includes innovations such as a chair that converts into a fully lie-flat, the culinary concept “SWISS Taste of Switzerland” or an exclusive bus for Business Class Travelers for immediate transport at Zurich Airport.

"Bilanz" magazine :SWISS named best airline in Europe

Bilanz magazine, one of Switzerland's leading business publications, has named SWISS "best European air carrier" in an in-depth study of global air transport. The magazine acknowledges our important role as the ‘Airline of Switzerland’ and credits us in particular for offering "more Swissness than ever.” The Bilanz report specifically notes that “As well as the popular inflight meals from the kitchens of the country’s best-known chefs, passengers can now enjoy music and movies of Swiss origin, too". Further recognition is given for SWISS's pioneering use of social media. The author points out that SWISS was among "the first airlines to provide round-the-clock customer service via Facebook and Twitter.”

SWISS expands culinary partnership with Peninsula Hotel

SWISS Taste of Switzerland

SWISS is pleased to expand partnership with Peninsula Hotels under which the hotel group’s executive chef Florian Trento creates meals for SWISS First and SWISS Business guests. In addition to its Hong Kong-Zurich flights, which have enjoyed this service since 2009, SWISS will be extending the feature to its westbound services from Bangkok, Shanghai and Beijing over the next few months.
