Important information

Please take note of the below information to ensure that you possess all relevant documents with you for travel when departing India and arriving into Switzerland.

Departure India

India’s security regulatory authority has made it mandatory for passengers departing from any airport in India, to be in possession of a copy of their e-ticket itinerary receipt, showing a confirmed reservation for a flight of the same day.

Kindly therefore ensure that you are in possession of a valid copy ( “hard” or “soft” ) of your e-ticket itinerary, that you will need to present along with your passport, to the security sentry at the entrance to the terminal.

Transit visa

Transit visa for Switzerland is no longer required for Indian nationals continuing their journey to a third country within 48 hours provided you do not leave the transit area *and* are arriving and departing from / to non-schengen country *and* holding ticket with confirmed seats and other documents for next destination.
