As a general rule, you will pay 10% of the regular fare for your infant until his/her second birthday. There might be some additional charges in addition. We do not charge a service fee.
However, please note that you do not have a right to a separate seat for your child with this fare. The small child sits on your lap secured by a special seatbelt.
If your child turns 2 while you are travelling, you will have to book a separate seat for him or her for the entire journey. The children’s fare will then generally apply.
If you have booked a separate seat for your child, you can take your child seat (car seat) on board with you. The seat must be certified for air travel and its base dimensions must not exceed 40 x 40 cm.
You can take your one-piece folding pram1pushchair to the aircraft with you. Depending on your destination, your pram1 will be returned to you when you disembark or on the baggage carousel. Because of their size, prams1 for two or more children must be checked in as baggage.
Children under 5 years of age cannot fly unaccompanied. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 may only travel unaccompanied if you book our service for Unaccompanied minors (UM service) or if accompanied by someone who is at least 12 years of age. If desired, the service may also be booked for children aged between 12 and 17.

Liquid baby food may be carried on SWISS flights. We offer special baby food (fruit and vegetable purees) on intercontinental flights. Baby meals can be ordered up to 48 hours before departure either when you book or via our Service Centre.
