Flight guests with special dietary needs can pre-order selected special meals. The service is available in all classes of service on long-haul flights and in SWISS Business on selected European flights.

Information

You can save your special meal preference in your online profile for future bookings. When booking your flight, you must be logged in under your profile so that your menu preferences are applied.

Nut allergy

We show consideration to passengers with food allergies and have a policy of not serving peanuts on board. However, for technical reasons we are unable to provide meals without any trace of peanuts. The meals and snacks served on board may contain nuts or ingredients that are based on peanuts.

We advise passengers with serious allergies to consider the possible reactions and carry their own emergency medicine with them. Under certain circumstances, they may prefer to bring their own food that does not require chilling or heating on board. If you have a food allergy, please contact the SWISS Service Center or your cabin crew team. Out of consideration for their fellow passengers, we request all our passengers not to bring peanuts on board with them.

If you are a vegetarian, you will be spoilt with fine dishes in all three travel classes on intercontinental flights, created by Hiltl–– undefined, the world's oldest vegetarian restaurant.

Available special meals

Baby meal (up to 2 years of age)On most European flights in SWISS Business, the baby meal consists of an organic fruit puree. Pureed vegetables are also available on long haul flights in all travel classes. Child meal (up to 12 years of age)

Consists of a popular and balanced child's meal and a sweet surprise.

On Europe flights in Business Class as well as intercontinental flights in all classes, children between the age of 2 and 9 will automatically receive the child meal. Other children up to the age of 12 have to pre-order the meal.
Vegetarian Hindu mealIndian style, without meat, fish, poultry, eggs or gelatin. Vegetarian jain mealPrepared in accordance with the customs of Indian Jainism. Western vegetarian meal lacto-ovoWestern meal without meat or fish, but with eggs and dairy products. Vegan mealWestern meal without meat, fish, eggs or dairy products.
Lactose intoleranceSpecial menu available without dairy products. Gluten intolerant mealSpecial menu available without cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats) and starch. Low salt mealLightly salted menu, low sodium and mildly spiced. Low fat mealLight menu with low fat products, low cholesterol.

These menus are prepared in strict accordance with the respective customs and rites.

Kosher mealPrepared, packed and sealed to strict guidelines. Hindu mealMay contain fish, lamb, mutton, goat, poultry, eggs and can contain root vegetables. The meal will not contain veal, beef, raw/smoked fish. If you would like a fully Hindu vegetarian meal, please select the “Asian Vegetarian Meal”. Halal mealDoes not contain pork.
