The Lufthansa Group airlines will gradually resume flights to and from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) starting in June. This decision follows a comprehensive safety and security assessment.
Initially, Austrian Airlines will restart their operations to Tel Aviv from 1 June.
For operational reasons
- SWISS and Lufthansa are currently planning to resume flights as early as 1 July.
- Brussels Airlines had already suspended operations to Tel Aviv until 24 October.
Furthermore, Lufthansa Group airlines Lufthansa and SWISS will continue to suspend flights to and from Dubai for operational reasons until and including 13 September.
Affected passengers will be contacted directly by their respective airline and offered flexible rebooking options or a full refund. For further information, customers should visit the relevant airline's website or contact their travel agent.
Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines for operational reasons have already suspended all flights to and from the following destinations:
- Abu Dhabi through October 24
- Amman through October 24
- Beirut through October 24
- Dammam through October 24
- Riyadh through October 24
- Erbil through October 24
- Muscat through October 24
- Tehran through October 24
Changes may occur for individual airlines due to the dynamic situation and will be communicated accordingly.
Affected passengers can rebook to a later travel date free of charge or, alternatively, receive a full refund of the ticket price. Passengers can find further information on rebooking and refunds on the customer websites of all Lufthansa Group airlines.

- Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking
