This team plans and organises the positioning of the SWISS brand. This takes the form of advertising and image campaigns or online activities at home and abroad.

What I particularly like about my job is the diversity and interaction with the disciplines in the various departments. This ranges from the creation of the SWISS picture world, the shoots for which I plan and carry out with a photographer and a production company in order to present our countless products and services appropriately. For instance, I work closely with the Ground Services department on the constant further development of our lounge architecture.

I am also responsible for designing all inflight products. I work with our brand agency to develop the gifts that we present to our customers on special occasions. And finally, I am also responsible for taking the SWISS brand out into the world, because I am also responsible for the standardised visual appearance of our aircraft painting.

I doubt there is a department left at SWISS for which I haven't produced print materials, from a pocket guide to explain our new fare concept to the concept of a lavishly finished HON brochure that our Core Customer department sends to our best customers. I start by working with the client to develop a briefing, and then coordinate the task with the agencies for layout, translation and printing.

What I particularly like about this task is that I can be creative. Often I don't know at the beginning where the journey is headed. But then, when I have the finished product in my hands and everyone loves it – well, it's an amazing feeling!

Together with my team of six communications specialists, I create the global communication strategy for SWISS. We work together with our media and creative agencies to develop national and international communications campaigns. Good and regular exchanges with each other are extremely important to us. When I take on new members of staff, I make absolutely sure that they have the right team spirit as well as the professional skills.
