This is the taste of Switzerland: top chefs create seasonal dishes from Swiss regions.

In SWISS First and SWISS Business, our long-haul passengers departing from Switzerland can now enjoy the delights of our award-winning gastronomic concept. The menus change every three months. They are created by selected guest chefs whose first-class restaurants have received Michelin stars and Gault Millau points. The focus is on regional and seasonal specialities that guarantee a culinary flight of fancy. The "International Travel Catering Association" has awarded the SWISS Taste of Switzerland concept its Mercury Award.

Swiss wines on board

Whenever possible, we offer our guests wine from the cantons or neighbouring regions of our guest chefs. These could be discovery wines from top producers, in limited quantities or new creations. The varied offer on board reflects Switzerland's wine landscape.

Haute cuisine on board

Our perception of taste changes by nuances in the low pressure environment of an aircraft cabin. The professional partner to SWISS, Gate Gourmet, knows how to create dishes to recipes by top chefs so that they taste just as sophistcated above the clouds as they do in a gourmet restaurant. This is made possible by the use of exclusive spices and first-class ingredients.

Culinary skills and hospitality

The pre-cooked specialities produced by Gate Gourmet are given their finishing touches during the flight. The cabin crew prepares the meals for serving and garnishes them in the galley, the onboard kitchen. They then serve the culinary results to guests in SWISS First and SWISS Business.
